## The challenge
Cloud spend was growing faster than revenue, and nobody could say which services were the culprits.
## What we did
- Instrumented cost per request with Prometheus and per-team showback.
- Right-sized workloads and introduced event-driven autoscaling with KEDA.
- Rewrote two hot-path services in Go, halving their footprint.
## Outcome
The bill dropped 41% even as daily users climbed past 2.4M — headroom up, cost down.
